Fixing a Rudder at Gazley's Dock

Fixing a Rudder at Gazley's Dock
On a day noted as "HOT" by Charles Zabriskie, this photograph shows a man putting a rudder on a sailboat at Gazley's dock. The boat is balanced on supports to the right of a boat house. The dock extends into the cove. A canoe is tied in its mooring on the left side of the dock. The shore is visible in the foreground, a small tree prominent on the right side of the frame. Under the tree the bow of a boat pulled onshore is visible. Cat tails rise from the water across the cove. Shrubbery, an open field and a hill are in the distance.
