Description: 
3/4 portrait of seated young man, whose one arm rests on his settee back. He wears a dark suit, vest and necktie; and a white shirt. Matte is Brass oval, Preserver is brass stamped scroll design. Case lining opposite is stamped with a flower and leaf design. Case is dark maroon gutta percha with same design front and back; lute, urn, column, artist's pallet and brushes, flowers surrounded by scroll-work. One clasp.
