Water rushes from a large steel pipe along the canal as it is being reconstructed on the Seneca-Cayuga barge line. A billboard in the background advertises, "Dr. Pierce's Favorite Prescription/Cures Weak Women." The tops of buildings, smokestacks and the edge of a dam are also in the background. This photo is part of a series showing the progress of the improvements made from 1910-1918 on the Seneca-Cayuga canal branches of the barge canal.
