Description:
The Zia pueblo was another great source for eager travelers who wanted to buy extraordinary pottery work. Zia potters shaped the jars to have a high shoulder and painted the designs in black and smaller amounts of red. This gracefully curving flower is an example of a larger naturalistic design aesthetic that Zia potters employed.
